Ylang Ylang essential oil is a natural conditioner that balances oil secretions in your scalp while moisturizing it. Just a few drops will help stop hair loss, thicken your hair, and help repair split ends.
Here are a two easy ways to implement this oil into your hair care routine:
- Simply add a few drops into your shampoo!
- Combine 5 drops of the oil with 3 tablespoons of olive or coconut oil. Heat it slightly and then massage into your scalp for best results.
Trying to make your hair last another day without washing it?
Here is a great recipe for a natural dry shampoo that will help absorb any excess oils on your scalp. Just add these ingredients together and comb through your hair when needed!
1/4 cup of cornstarch
1 tbsp baking soda
2 drops of Cedarwood essential oil
2 drops of Rosemary essential oil
1 drop of Tea Tree essential oil
2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder (dark hair only)
Trying to hydrate and soften your hair?
Check out this DIY hair mask recipe!
- 3-4 drops of Rosemary essential oil
- 2-3 drops of Ginger essential oil
- 2 tablespoons of carrier oil
Just begin with clean hair and apply this mixture into your scalp and throughout your hair. Rinse after 15-30 minutes and repeat twice a week for silky smooth hair!
You can also replace oils in the recipe with Cedarwood, Yling Ylang, Clary Sage, Tea Tree, or Geranium!
